Decision Timelines
From Question to Recorded Decision
A decision timeline is the spine of every case file in this archive. It shows the order in which a project change was questioned, proposed, reviewed, and recorded. Without that order it is impossible to tell whether a decision was deliberate or simply the last comment standing. This collection groups case files by the shape of their review timeline rather than by discipline or building type.
What the Timeline Reveals
Each timeline lists the original condition, the moment a constraint was questioned, the proposal that followed, the disciplines that responded, and the date a final decision was recorded. Reading several timelines together exposes recurring delays: the structural response that arrived after the ceiling was already detailed, or the maintenance access question that surfaced only at handoff. The timeline makes these gaps visible.
Using Timelines as a Review Tool
Teams can compare their own change log to these timelines to see where their review process stalls. Most delays cluster around ownership and conflicting requirements, which is why this collection pairs with the ownership and coordination-failure files. Use the decision timeline as the first section you fill in for any new case, because every other section, affected disciplines, unresolved questions, handoff summary, depends on knowing the order in which events actually happened.
